Une exposition internationale et itinérante d’œuvres sur toile et de sculptures imaginées par 50 artistes.
French Paper Gallery, jeudi 10 novembre 2016, 19h – Pour célébrer les 50 ans de Star Trek, une exposition unique s’ouvrira à la French Paper Gallery à Paris du 10 au 26 Novembre prochain. A l’initiative de CBS (usa), “Star Trek: 50 Ans. 50 Artistes.” présentera des œuvres inspirées de l’univers de Star Trek, créées par 50 artistes venant du monde entier, dont une pièce de l’acteur et photographe Leonard Nimoy, le « Spock » de la série originale Star Trek.
“50 Ans. 50 Artistes.” Des œuvres originales sur toile, sculptures et autres objets créés par 50 artistes venant de 10 pays différents. Chaque artiste avait le choix du médium et de la technique afin rendre hommage à la franchise légendaire Star Trek. L’exposition, présentée en avant-première à la Comic Con de San Diego en juillet 2016, comprends des illustrations, photographies, sculptures, peintures et des sérigraphies. Parmi les artistes de cette collection : l’art digital de Tom Whalen, Joshua Budich ou Rocco Malatesta, le sculpteur Calvin Ma, ou encore l’acteur Leonard Nimoy. La pièce de Nimoy est une angoissante représentation multi couleur du populaire salut Vulcain.
Star Trek célèbre son 50ème anniversaire en 2016. Né de l’esprit de Gene Roddenberry, la série originale Star Trek est diffusée pour la première fois le 8 septembre 1966 et sera renouvelée pour trois saisons – un début relativement court qui ne laissait pas présager de l’impact de la série sur les générations à venir. Lançant la carrière de William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, la série établissait aussi un nouveau tournant dans la fiction à la TV de par son approche narrative et son étude de mœurs culturelles, proposant une position très progressiste sur les relations entre différentes races et cultures, la géopolitique, les problèmes environnementaux et d’autres encore. La série originale à engendrée 5 séries télévisées différentes, 13 films et de nombreux romans, ouvrages, jeux, jalonnant un demi-siècle.
Une nouvelle série télévisée Star Trek, produite par les studios CBS, sera diffusée en début 2017.

Du 10 au 26 novembre 2016, venez découvrir cette exposition fabuleuse et retrouvez tout l’univers de Star Trek. Une cinquantaine de visuels seront exposés, et des sérigraphies officielles numérotées seront disponibles à la vente (de 40 à 60 euros). French Paper Gallery, Nov 10th 2016 – In celebration of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary, a one-of-a-kind art exhibit will open at French Paper Gallery in Paris from Nov. 10th to Nov. 26th. Curated by CBS Consumer Products, “Star Trek: 50 Artists. 50 Years.” features Star Trek-inspired works created by 50 different artists from all around the world, including a piece from renowned actor and photographer Leonard Nimoy, who portrayed Spock in the original Star Trek series.
“50 Artists. 50 Years.” features original 2D and 3D artwork by 50 artists from 10 countries. Each artist selected their own medium to express their love of the franchise and the inspiration they gained from it. The exhibit, which originally premiered at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2016, includes illustrations, photographs, sculptures, paintings, graphics and more. Some of the artists featured in the collection include digital artists Tom Whalen, Joshua Budich and Rocco Malatesta, sculptor Calvin Ma, and actor and photographer Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy’s piece is an eerie depiction of the Vulcan salute in multi-color that rings particularly poignant given his recent passing last year.
Star Trek celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2016. Born from the mind of Gene Roddenberry, the original Star Trek series debuted on September 8, 1966 and aired for three seasons — a short run that belied the influence it would have for generations. Launching the careers of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, the series also broke new ground in storytelling and cultural mores providing a progressive look at topics including race relations, global politics, the environment and more. It spawned five more television series and 13 feature films spanning the course of half a century.
A new Star Trek television series, produced by CBS Television Studios, will premiere with a special preview broadcast on the CBS Television Network in early 2017. The premiere episode and all subsequent first-run episodes will then be available exclusively in the United States on CBS All Access, the Network’s digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service. The next chapter of the Star Trek franchise will also be distributed concurrently for television and multiple platforms around the world by CBS Studios International.
